Observation of dynamic processes:
Due to diffusion on Si(111) 7x7 at high temperature, the terrace (marked in green in the upper image) gradually disappears. The yellow arrows mark fixed reference points in both images. Stable feedback conditions have been achieved in multi-mode operation, where the frequency shift is measured, and the tunneling current is used for feedback. The images were measured at 1000 K.
