Low temperature MFM

Low temperature MFM of magnetic flux vortices
a) on a YBa2Cu3O7-x superconductor thin film and the corresponding topography
b) imaged in non - contact mode SFM at T = 7.6 K.
The vortices are not pinned by the observed screw dislocations; other defects may be responsible for the strong pinning of the vortices. Results obtained with the prototype instrument;
