High resolution gas phase UPS of Xe

High resolution gas phase UPS of Xe measured at the Daresbury synchrotron using a gas cell and a photon energy of 14 eV. The EA 125 HR analyser was driven by the standard EAC 300 spectrometer control unit. The measured resolution of dE=5.7 meV (fwhm) corresponds to a spectrometer resolution of better than 5 meV : after deconvolution of broadening factors due to the photon line width of 3.3 meV and thermal broadening of 1.5 meV, the calculated analyser resolution is 4.4 meV.
