The SPA-LEED Software has been developed by Peter Kury in close cooperation with Omicron. Now throughout improved the SPA-LEED control package and WinSPA software allows user friendly operation and provides new modes such as SEM. WinSPA works now with standard Microsoft Windows PCs using the latest interfacing electronics. It offers the expected multi window operation and multiple simultaneous program running.

The software offers six different scan modes, as well as scanning and counting the software and interfacing offers Kinetic Energy control of the beam, SEM mode switching, and gated heating modes. An upgrade package of interface boards, cables, software and optional PC is available for easy retrofit to existing SPA-LEED users (note SEM switch may require power supply modifications)
