LT NANOPROBE

Ultimate Nanoprobing at Low Temperatures

Atomic Resolution STM on Au(111)

State-of-the-art STM performance: Atomic resolution STM on Au(111) at a temperature of T = 4.5 K and a Z-stability in the low pm-range.

Tunnelling Spectroscopy Performance

Tunnelling spectroscopy on Au(111) using a Niobium tip proves the performance of the individual probe module. Measurements at T < 5 K reveal the superconducting gap of Nb with approx. 3 meV width.

Transport Measurements at T < 5 K

The LT NANOPROBE offers the unique feature to navigate the four tips by SEM at base temperature and subsequently perform STM measurements and local electrical transport measurements – without temperature changes between SEM and STM operation and related drift or tip displacement.

The shown transport measurements on Fe nanowires represent a proof of principle for a complete experimental workflow at T < 5 K.
