We heartily welcome you to our new website!

We welcome you to our website! It offers you an easy to use, most informative “click and find - overview” throughout the amazing world of nanoanalytics and we would be delighted to receive your comments.

Omicron NanoTechnology is the world’s leading supplier of analytical instrumentation solutions in nanotechnology research and development. We create innovative instrumentation with state-of-the-art performance and combine analytical tools into sophisticated multi-technique analytical systems. This is our “multi-technique” philosophy.

A typical comprehensive solution is a combination of growing thin films by MBE or PVD characterised by using UHV SPM (at variable or dedicated low temperatures), electron spectroscopy techniques (Imaging ESCA, Scanning Auger microscopy) and high resolution SEM imaging at low beam energies.

We support more than 30 different experimental techniques, and for each you will find a number of specialists in our company who can support you in project planning, assessment of technique suitability, system design, equipment training, applications support, and system upgrades.

Along with the wide range of standard modular solutions we offer, Omicron also maintains the unique flexibility, expertise and infrastructure to develop completely new concepts to meet nearly every possible special customer requirement. We are a partner for our customers in research and analysis, in every respect a “scientific company“ with over twenty years of experience.

Effectively June 14th 2011, Omicron joined the Oxford Instruments Group as a part of the “Nanotechnology Tools” division, which already encompasses Oxford Instruments NanoAnalysis, Oxford Instruments NanoScience and Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology.

Oxford Instruments and Omicron share many common customers and anticipate that their highly complementary technologies will result in the development of new and unique solutions for the rapidly growing Nanotechnology market. For example, the integration of Oxford Instruments Plasma technologies thin film etch and deposition processes into Omicrons’ surface science systems and the integration of probe microscopes from Omicron into Oxford Instruments Nanoscience low temperature and high magnetic field systems.
